According to a study done by Vanderbilt University every youth that engages in a life of crime costs the community over a million dollars. Our Capital Campaign, Building A Bolder Future, started in 2004 with the goal of expanding our programs and renovating and paying off the building that houses our agency headquarters. To date we have expanded to 3 sites and plan to serve 160 youth in 2009. We only need to raise an additional $780,00 to finish the campaign. Paying off this debt will not only save us $40,000 in interest each year while providing a significant improvement to our financial stability - it will save the broader community millions of dollars that otherwise would go to incarcerate these youth.
We have created a fun, 45 minute tour and information session at our offices to get the word out about our work and the campaign. We'd like to have you join us as our guest at one of the next Building A Bolder Future tours. It's just a short tour and informational gathering to learn first-hand what we do, hear some inspiring stories and hear an update on the status of our campaign.
