Building a Bolder Future

Bolder Options has reached a critical point in its development. Our programs’ growing success and popularity have left us with two choices for the future:

• keep service at our current levels and miss the chance to serve hundreds more at-risk youth who could benefit right now from our services; or

• move to the next level, expand our services to meet Hennepin County’s growing needs, further improve academic performance, and reduce truancy and recidivism rates among Minneapolis youth.      

We’ve chosen the latter route. And as a result, we are undertaking the most aggressive capital campaign in our history, with a goal of:

• Expanding program services to support children of prisoners in both Hennepin and Ramsey counties

• Providing on-site family counseling

• Launching a marketing campaign to increase name recognition in support of mentor recruitment efforts

• Implementing year-long case management

• Acquiring two passenger vans for youth transport

• Hiring one additional social worker, two program managers and one volunteer coordinator

Bolder Options currently attracts several loyal financial supporters, including individuals and foundations that offer grants ranging from $25 to over $25,000.
