Jafet Cay was born and raised in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. Enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served honorably for 3 years. After his discharge, he moved back to Puerto Rico to pursue further education at the Universidad del Turabo where he enrolled in the Psychology program. On November 8 of 2017, after the island was devastated by Hurricane Maria, he decided to move to the United States seeking better opportunities. He enjoys music, spending time with his family and trying new things. His love to help to get the best out of people and motivation to face new challenges drove him to expand his horizons while serving youth in the Twin Cities. As the Academic Program Coordinator, he encourages and guides youth to learn new vital skills that will assist them to become successful in many aspects of their lives.
