Mark is a nationally recognized business leader, author and expert on corporate governance and ethics, strategy planning, finance and leadership. His expertise is in guiding boards on governance best practices and financial strategies including mergers, acquisitions and restructurings. He is a Certified Board Advisor who has served on over 50 boards of directors and advised over 100 boards. His business achievements include being inducted into the Minnesota Business Hall of Fame and receiving the Outstanding Director and Lifetime Achievement Awards by the National Association of Corporate Directors.  His firm has won five national and regional Turnaround of the Year awards from the Turnaround Management Association for the year’s best turnaround or financial restructuring.

His commitment to serving at-risk youth is very personal, as he was once a young boy growing up in a low-income neighborhood himself. Mark understands the tremendous influence encouraging role models can have on youth who are living on the “edge”, and believes that the relationships Bolder Options mentors build are the best way to help them make positive life choices.
