Director of Twin Cities Program
Originally from Mount Desert Island, Maine, Sarah left home to pursue her undergraduate degree in Religion and Gender Studies at Mount Holyoke College. Sarah received her Masters of Special Education at George Mason University and taught high school Special Education and English inclusion in both South Minneapolis and Washington, D.C.. Shortly after leaving the formal classroom, she created a K-12 curriculum that followed her 70-day canoe trip down the Mississippi River and was implemented in classrooms across the country. Sarah now works as the Program Director for Bolder Options, a youth mentoring organization in Minneapolis. At Bolder Options, she melds her love physical activity, youth development, and program evaluation. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Mentor Minnesota.
