Alumni Program
The goal of the alumni program is to keep young people connected with Bolder Options beyond the first year 1:1 mentoring program, providing ongoing support and resources to help them achieve their goals. Bolder Options offers a range of programs for alumni youth, including career and college exploration, leadership development, internships, and a scholarship program. Over 95% of youth opt into the alumni program and most continue to participate with their mentor.
Alumni Specific Events
The Alumni Program offers monthly alumni-specific events in both Twin Cities and Rochester, including service-learning opportunities, as well as an outdoor adventure program that features an annual summer Boundary Waters trip.
College & Career Readiness
We offer a range of programs designed to support college and career readiness for alumni youth. These initiatives include the I Believe and I Achieve cohorts, which run from November to April each year, as well as internship opportunities and connections to professional development, leadership, and educational opportunities through partnerships with organizations like Bolder Options.
Bentdahl Scholarship Fund
The Bentdahl Scholarship Fund is available to youth who participate in the Bolder Options Alumni Program. This scholarship provides financial support to help students pursue post-secondary education. The scholarship can be used to cover tuition, books, and fees related to academic requirements.
