John has twenty three years of Financial Services experience; as an Advisor, Managing Director, and Regional Managing Director. He spent 20 years with Principal Financial Group. In 2019 left to become a partner/owner of a wealth management firm, VisionPoint Advisory Group out of Dallas, Tx. He is currently splitting time between Minnesota and Texas as they expand to multiple states.

 

Currently John is on the Board of Trustees for Portico Benefits in Minneapolis and the chair of the investment committee. He is a graduate of THE Minnesota State University, Mankato with a degree in International Relations and Minor in Spanish. He has one son Ashton, who is a redshirt freshman at University of Minnesota, Duluth. In his spare time, John enjoys having breakfast and lunch with Darrell Thompson and Jim Petersen and soaking up all of their wisdom.
