SARAH KIMMES

Alumni Program Coordinator

Sarah Kimmes was born and raised on a farm in western Minnesota. After completing her education, she began a career in social justice and political activism, which brought her to 11 different states and countless towns and cities across the country. In 2014, she made the (probably permanent) move back to Minnesota, and now lives in Saint Paul. Before joining the Bolder Options staff, she has spent the last 6 years working in direct service with families and youth experiencing homelessness. Sarah loves traveling locally and internationally to out of the way places, and has a special love for exploring all the local parks, rivers and lakes of Minnesota. She loves plants and animals, doing everything outdoors, and adventures. Sarah has been through our program with two mentees and was an active mentor for 5 years before joining Bolder Options as a Program Coordinator. In spring of 2024 she stepped into the role of Alumni Program manager and is enthusiastically developing and growing our alumni network and programming to provide ongoing opportunities for our participants.
